Supergirl as Linda Danvers moves to Chicago to begin a new life as a student at Lake Shore University. She gets a new home there and makes new friends and also meets a new villain in "A Very Strange and Special Girl." Script by Paul Kupperberg and art by Carmine Infantino & Bob Oksner. Issue also includes a preview of Masters of the Universe in which He-Man teams up with Superman to deal with a new threat in "Fate is the Killer." Script by Paul Kupperberg and art by Curt Swan & Dave Hunt.  Issue 2:  Supergirl continues her battle with Psi, a girl with powerful abilities who has been brainwashed into believing that Chicago must die, and also deals with her new friends where she is rooming in "Crisis Over Chicago." Script by Paul Kupperberg and art by Carmine Infantino & Bob Oksner. Issue also has Lois Lane in "The Bogie-Man Will Getcha" in which Lois Lane finds an uncredited news story on her desk about an event that hasn't yet happened. And then that event happens. Script by Tamsyn O'Flynn and art by Bob Oksner.  Issue 3:  Supergirl gets a job as a secretary for one of the faculty advisors at Lake Shore University and also has to deal with a villain named Decay who can destroy with a touch in "Decay Day." Script by Paul Kupperberg and art by Carmine Infantino & Bob Oksner. Issue also has Lois Lane in "Missy Is Missing" in which Lois investigates the disappearance of famous model Missy Conrad. Script by Tamsyn O'Flynn and art by Bob Oksner.  Issue 4:  A team of super villains known as Kong, Mesmer, Bulldozer and Brains, who make up the Gang, strike and Supergirl has to deal with them and a visit from her parents in "Hail, Hail, the Gang's All Here." Script by Paul Kupperberg and art by Carmine Infantino & Bob Oksner. Issue also has Lois Lane in "Missy Doesn't Live Here Anymore" in which Lois continues her investigation into the disappearance of famous model Missy Conrad. Script by Tamsyn O'Flynn and art by Bob Oksner.  Issue 5:  The Gang has mesmerized Supergirl into believing that she is danger of exposing her secret identity. So she has to conquer that fear in order to defeat the Gang in "Fear Times Four." Script by Paul Kupperberg and art by Carmine Infantino & Bob Oksner. Issue also has Lois Lane in "Brain Drain" in which Lois has to help Jimmy Olsen who has been kidnapped. Script by Tamsyn O'Flynn and art by Bob Oksner.  Issue 6:  Brains, a member of the Gang, has managed to elude Supergirl and while fleeing discovers a secret operation which includes a giant robot that has attacked Chicago's O'Hare Airport. So it's up to Supergirl to save the day in "Battleground O'Hare." Script by Paul Kupperberg and art by Carmine Infantino & Bob Oksner. Issue also has Lois Lane in "Head Over Heels In Trouble" in which Lois rescues Jimmy from kidnappers. Script by Tamsyn O'Flynn and art by Bob Oksner.  Issue 7:  After a battle with a giant robot at Chicago's O'Hare Airport, Supergirl discovers that the robot came from a secret underwater complex and investigates that complex in "This Meeting Will Come to Disorder." Script by Paul Kupperberg and art by Carmine Infantino & Bob Oksner. Issue also has Lois Lane in "Reflection of Murder" in which Lois investigates Kristin Cutler's death. Script by Tamsyn O'Flynn and art by Bob Oksner & Frank Giacoia.  Issue 8:  The New Doom Patrol have their hands full with Reactron, and Supergirl can only look on in "Stand-ins for Supergirl!" Cover by Gil Kane.  Issue 9:  With the new Doom Patrol as guest stars in this issue, Supergirl battles Reactron, the Living Reactor who is able to command all forms of radiation. And stopping Reactron may be fatal to Supergirl in "Re-Enter: Reactron." Script by Paul Kupperberg and art by Carmine Infantino & Bob Oksner. Issue also has Lois Lane in "The Scream Queen" in which everyone at the Daily Planet has to deal with a visit from Hollywood's hottest horror actress. But the visit proves especially troublesome for Lois. Script by Tamsyn O'Flynn and art by Bob Oksner & Dave Hunt.  Issue 10:  Supergirl's battle with Reactron has left her weak and ill with a deadly form of radiation poisoning. And that leads to her capture for a special experiment in "Radiation-Fever." Script by Paul Kupperberg and art by Carmine Infantino & Bob Oksner. Issue also has Lois Lane in "Spell Bound" in which Lois is mistaken by a madman for horror actress Jenny Lind. Script by Tamsyn O'Flynn and art by Bob Oksner & Dick Giordano.  Issue 11:  Great Gil Kane multi Super-Girl cover. The Organization's Project Redundant, an attempt to create duplicates of Supergirl, is a success, except for the fact that the duplicates are smaller versions of Supergirl. And Supergirl, still trying to deal with the radiation poisoning sickness, may not be able to handle those duplicates in "A Dark and Frozen Purgatory." Issue also has Lois Lane in "Memory Jog" in which Lois witnesses a mysterious horse riding accident and tries to figure out what is really going on. Issue 12:  Having found a way to cure the radiation poisoning, Supergirl now has to deal with the duplicates of herself and the Organization in "Guess Who's About To Die." Issue also has Lois Lane in "A Snitch In Time" in which Lois has to race to get to one of her sources who claims to have a lead on a murderer. One-year anniversary issue in which Supergirl gets a new costume and also has to help a neighbor, Mrs. Berkowitz who is being threatened by a group of fanatics with a leader who may be more than she appears in "Echoes of Times Gone By." Script by Paul Kupperberg and art by Carmine Infantino & Bob Oksner.  Issue 14:  The leader of a group of fanatics is revealed to be a powerful super being known as Blackstarr whom Supergirl has to battle. Things get even more complicated when Supergirl's friend, Mrs. Berkowitz, discovers a secret about Blackstarr in "Star Light, Star Bright…Blackstarr Rises Tonight." Script by Paul Kupperberg and art by Carmine Infantino & Bob Oksner.  Issue 15:  Mrs. Berkowitz reveals herself to Blackstarr and then both discover the truth about themselves. Those truths are revealed and then Supergirl has to deal with the situation in "Starrfall." Script by Paul Kupperberg and art by Carmine Infantino & Bob Oksner.  Issue 16:  In her secret identity as Linda Danvers, everything seems to be going great. Her relationship with Phil is looking great and her job at the university is going good, so good that her boss has even cleaned up his office. So what could possibly go wrong? Issue 17:  Linda Danvers' boss at the university, Dr. Barry Metzner, has written a biography about millionaire and master criminal Jackson Burroughs and is being threatened by Burroughs' thugs. A mystery villain in a hat and trenchcoat makes the anniversary an unpleasant one for Supergirl in "Celebration!" Superman appearance.
