The pot is stamped "Limoges France W.G. & C." which indicates it was produced by William Geúrin & Co., a significant producer of Limoges porcelain. This set has been hand painted with gold gilt. China decorating was a very popular amateur hobby from the late 1800's up until about 1940, as part of the Arts & Crafts movement, usually done on imported white porcelain blanks that were manufactured in Europe. The pieces also have the initials H.E.W., a family member of mine who this was passed down from. The set has a lusterware finish with gilt hand painted grapevines and grapes on a yellow background. All pieces are in excellent condition. There are no cracks, chips, or crazing on any of them. There may be very minor signs of scratching or wear on the gilt trim. The pot dimensions are: 6.5" tall, 9.25" wide including handle and spout, and 6.75" wide. Cups measure 3.5" tall x 2.75" diameter. Condition: Used.
