It features significant, visible red rust, heavy patina, warehouse dust, dirt, and scuffs on all items. Blades (Steel) : The plane irons and chisel edges show heavy surface rust, pitting, and oxidation. They will require comprehensive rust removal, grinding, re-profiling, and extensive honing on waterstones before any potential workshop use. Wooden Bodies & Handles : The wooden oak blocks ( Dai ) of the planes show severe staining, cosmetic fading, and signs of humidity exposure. The labels on the bodies are partially torn or weathered.
