Set of 4 Nestlé Nescafé Glass World Mugs, Clear with Etched/Frosted Globe, 1970s, New in Original Boxes A set of four Nescafé World Mugs/Cups made of clear glass with frosted etching of the world globe and cross-hatched “longitude and latitude” lines.  The mugs fit comfortably in the hand and are rounded and sturdy.  Great for display or use for coffee, tea, cocoa, or other beverages.   A Nestlé Promotional Item distributed as premiums to customers who sent in proofs of purchase and money.  This was part of a campaign promoting Nescafé as being the best-selling instant coffee.  The commercials featured people cradling this coffee mug shaped like the world as they sipped their coffee and relished its aroma and taste while chatting with friends.  New in the original shipping Styrofoam and shipping box.  Each mug is secure in its customized Styrofoam holder.  Mugs were never used or washed.  One owner.  The underside of each mug bottom has raised embossed “The Nestlé Co., Inc.” in glass with an applied blue and silver metallic sticker stating “Made in Japan, Colonial Cupboard, Dobbs Ferry, New York.”  Measurements:  3 inches tall and approximately 2 7/8 inches wide at the opening on top.
