One of the most famous of San Pedro Cajonos artists, is the Blas Family of wood carvers. Their style is so unique and can be identified readily upon sight. Bright colors, and fine painting are their hallmarks. I absolutely love the Blas Family wood carvings! This is the first time that we have been lucky enough to carry this cool new owl sitting on a cactus wood carving by Victoria Blas. We just adore it!! Full of whimsy and fun, and bright and cheerful colors!! It is so unique and beautifully painted!! For such an economical piece, this owl and cactus is packed with a cool sense of motion and detail, with the sweeping wings and the twisted backwards head! Nicely painted and a great size, it will make an affordable and unique addition to your collection. The piece is signed by the artist. The wings are removable for safe shipping, and the body also separates from the cactus.
