The sculptural pendant features a fluid, biomorphic openwork rib cage design that beautifully translates as an abstract skeletal piece, stylized botanical fern frond, or modern angel wings. While the pendant itself is unstamped, it has been scratch/acid tested and tested positive for solid sterling silver. This is a striking vintage artisan modernist pendant paired with a classic sterling silver box chain, making it an excellent addition to any fine jewelry collection. The sculptural pendant features a fluid, biomorphic openwork rib cage design that beautifully translates as an abstract skeletal piece, stylized botanical fern frond, or modern angel wings. While the pendant itself is unstamped, it has been scratch/acid tested and tested positive for solid sterling silver. It comes suspended on a 18-inch Italian box chain that fastens securely with a spring ring clasp. The chain is hallmarked "925" and "Italy" near the closure. The pendant measures 1.14 inches long (including the bale) by 0.97 inches wide. Together, the total combined weight of the pendant and the chain is 5.2 grams. Both pieces are in great pre-owned vintage condition with some surface wear consistent with age.
