View Vintage Royal Stuart Bone China Teacup Saucer Set Pink Roses Gold Trim England with current marketplace pricing, condition, product images and item details. They were a bone china manufacturer from 1948-1960. The cup weighs about 4 ounces. There is a CHIP on the edge that has been GLAZED over, so it was present when they applied the glaze. It can be seen in the last picture, where I have it pointed out, and it can be seen in other pictures looking closely. This is for a lovely set of bone china teacup and saucer made by Spencer Stevenson and Company of Longton, Stoke-on-Trent England, under the brand name of Royal Stuart. They were a bone china manufacturer from 1948-1960. The bone china is bright white with slightly scalloped edges and a slightly fluted design impressed into the china. The beautiful pattern has a summer garden feel to it, with the pretty pink roses and their leaves in sprays decorating the pieces. Quite stunning! There is shiny gold trim on the slightly wavy edges, and gold trim on the handle and the bottom rim of the cup. The teacup has a diameter of 3 & 1/4 inches and is 2 & 3/4 inches tall and holds 3/4 cup. The cup weighs about 4 ounces. The saucer is a bit deep with a height of 7/8 inches, is 5 & 1/2 inches in diameter and weighs about 5 ounces. The backstamp on this set was used in the 1950’s according to myporcelains.com. This set is in excellent vintage condition, with no cracks or crazing. There is a CHIP on the edge that has been GLAZED over, so it was present when they applied the glaze. It can be seen in the last picture, where I have it pointed out, and it can be seen in other pictures looking closely. There is minimal wear to the design and a little rub wear to the gold, like on the top edges of the cup, and the saucer edges. Looking at an angle to the light, there are few faint utensil marks in the glaze. There is some fading to the gold in places. The entire surface of saucer is glazed, including the underside rim it sits when put down, so there are kiln support marks on the underside where the saucer rested while being fired in the kiln.
