These striking boots feature tall lace-up shafts, pointed toes, low shaped heels and period-style leather construction. These are genuine antique footwear and show substantial age-related wear. Exterior black leather remains generally intact with creasing, scuffs and surface wear. Antique women’s black leather lace-up boots, believed to date to the early 20th century / Edwardian era, circa 1900–1915. These striking boots feature tall lace-up shafts, pointed toes, low shaped heels and period-style leather construction. They have a wonderful aged appearance and would make an excellent addition to a collection of antique clothing, historic footwear or Edwardian/Victorian costume pieces. The interior retains a factory production stamp reading approximately: 355 / 23192 / 408 / F5 No maker’s name has been identified. Condition These are genuine antique footwear and show substantial age-related wear. * Exterior black leather remains generally intact with creasing, scuffs and surface wear. * Interior leather/lining has significant age-related drying, flaking and deterioration, particularly around the upper shafts. * Soles and heels show considerable period wear. * Nail holes and wear are visible on the heels/soles. * Laces and eyelets show age and use. Because of the fragile interior condition, these boots are recommended primarily for display, collection, study, photography, theater or costume reference rather than regular wear. Size The interior marking “408” appears to be a factory production or size/last code and should not be assumed to correspond to a modern shoe size.
