What a pretty creamy white porcelain dish divided into 3 sections. There is little wear to the floral design and there is a a rough spot on the unglazed underside rim of the dish, where it rests when put down. In the past a dish like this would have been used as a relish dish or a candy or nut dish (also called a bon bon dish), and today it could be used as a trinket or jewelry dish, to hold rings, earrings, or other small items. It is decorated with feathery green leaves and delicate flowers in pink, purple, and blue, reminiscent of some patterns I have seen from antique Warwick and Haviland, but it is made from a substantial thick and heavy vintage porcelain giving it a sturdy feel on the table. The wavy edges have been brushed in gold, and there is a lovely scrolled handle in shiny gold too. The divisions have a line of gold on them also. The dish is about 7 & 1/2 inches in diameter and 2 & 1/4 inches tall at the handle which is a little bit taller than the sides. The porcelain is quite sturdy so it weighs 1 pound 2 ounces. The dish is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, or crazing. There is a bit of rub wear to the gold on the edges, and some gold loss on the handle top of the handle, right where your thumb would hold it when picking it up.
