A large and attractive Chinese blue and white porcelain bowl dating to the late Qing Dynasty, 19th century, bearing an apocryphal four-character Kangxi Nian Zhi (康熙年制) mark to the base. Antique Chinese Blue and White Porcelain Landscape Bowl – Late Qing Dynasty, 19th Century A large and attractive Chinese blue and white porcelain bowl dating to the late Qing Dynasty, 19th century, bearing an apocryphal four-character Kangxi Nian Zhi (康熙年制) mark to the base. The bowl is extensively hand-painted in underglaze cobalt blue with a continuous traditional Chinese landscape. The exterior depicts pavilions and fortified architecture amongst trees and mountains, together with figures, boats and waterside scenes. The interior is decorated with a further landscape scene around the rim, while the central medallion depicts a tranquil riverside landscape with figures, buildings, trees and distant mountains. A particularly decorative large Qing Dynasty bowl with detailed painting extending across both the interior and exterior. Date: Late Qing Dynasty, 19th century Origin: China Material: Porcelain Decoration: Underglaze blue Mark: Four-character Kangxi Nian Zhi mark to base, apocryphal Diameter: Approx. 23 cm Condition: Good antique condition overall. There is approximately 7 mm of glaze loss to the rim, together with a few small rim nibbles/chips. There are also two surface scratches to the interior. No hairlines or restoration noted. There are normal signs of age, manufacture and wear consistent with a 19th-century porcelain piece.
