The short ends have folded hems and the sides are selvedge. This is a great vintage kitchen towel in linen.  It features a broad amethyst stripe down the middle with the words "Irish Linen"  surrounded on each side with "LIBERTY" woven into the fabric.  It is very possible that this is a Liberty London towel. There are two other more narrow amethyst stripes along the sides near the towel edges.  The short ends have folded hems and the sides are selvedge.  This towel is in very good vintage condition with no holes, stains or tears.
