The painted decoration remains bright and attractive. Up for sale is a beautiful antique Japanese Kutani porcelain tea set consisting of 4 teacups and 4 matching saucers — 8 pieces total. The set features richly detailed hand-painted iron-red decoration with extensive gold gilt accents, traditional Japanese floral motifs, goldfish designs, and ornate borders. The cups have contrasting cobalt blue decoration around the interior rims with additional gold detailing. Each saucer bears a hand-painted Japanese mark on the underside.
