The 5 1/2 is a bit longer, wider, and heavier than a typical No. 5. The Rosewood stained handle and knob are both good. The long and nice cutter has a BB Logo. It has the external frog adjustment some planes from the WWII era do not. The lever cap is plain and from a type 12 or earlier. The plane has been lightly cleaned, has good patina with no pitting or other issues to note. It is ready to go back to work. A great user plane for a reasonable amount.
