The underside signature of the vase is hand-signed with gold characters; possibly Seizan (silent mountain), or Kutani Shozan (artist/kiln). Vase features a hand-painted. (bird and flower or Kacho-ga). Vintage Kutani-ware Vase Japanese Porcelain with Lavender (purple) background/base color in original box. Vase features a hand-painted. Japanese white-eye (mejiro) perched on a blossoming cherry branch. Colors range from the distinctive lime-green body and pale yellow/white underbelly of the bird to pink, purple, white & gold cherry blossoms on a branch in shades of brown. (bird and flower or Kacho-ga) The underside signature of the vase is hand-signed with gold characters; possibly Seizan (silent mountain), or Kutani Shozan (artist/kiln). Outer box says "Pine Tree" in Japanese, which is an indication that the box is made of a type of pine. The exact age of the vase is unknown, but is estimated to be made in the time period of 1940-1970. Condition: Excellent condition with no cracks, chips, or significant wear.
