This striking set features an orange/rust-colored ground with an elaborate raised moriage dragon wrapping around the cup and extending across the saucer. • Raised moriage dragon decoration. Both the cup and saucer are clearly stamped “MADE IN OCCUPIED JAPAN” on the underside. Vintage Made in Occupied Japan Dragonware Moriage Cup & Saucer Beautiful vintage Japanese Dragonware cup and saucer set dating to the Occupied Japan period, approximately 1945–1952. This striking set features an orange/rust-colored ground with an elaborate raised moriage dragon wrapping around the cup and extending across the saucer. The dragon has wonderful dimensional detailing, including raised scales, whiskers and applied eyes, with blue, white, gray and gold accents. The cup has a beautiful golden-yellow interior along with gold trim around the rim and handle. Both the cup and saucer are clearly stamped “MADE IN OCCUPIED JAPAN” on the underside.
