This piece perfectly showcases the historic lapidary skills of the Kewa (Santo Domingo) Pueblo artisans of New Mexico. The necklace features graduated, vibrant sky-blue turquoise tabs and organic nuggets separated by finely cut, white shell heishi disc beads. The strand transitions into smaller white heishi beads near the top and is finished with a traditional, authentic woven cord wrap tie instead of a modern metal clasp. Condition: Pristine, excellent condition. Never worn. It has been kept safely in a clean, smoke-free private collection since 2021. Acquired directly in 2021 from a Native American friend in New Mexico. Measurements: Length: Approximately 15.5 inches when laid flat (total wearable length of roughly 31 to 32 inches).
