This full-length ceremonial bridal robe is richly decorated throughout with traditional Japanese motifs including magnificent phoenix (hō-ō) birds, butterflies, chrysanthemums and other florals, maple leaves, and overlapping decorative panels. The ivory and white woven design changes beautifully with the light and gives the garment an elegant dimensional appearance. The robe features the substantial padded hem traditionally associated with Japanese bridal uchikake and has an impressive presence both worn and displayed.
