Thought you would like a bit of PROVENANCE with this tool if you are a collector. Selling an antique 6 Inch LUFKIN  Machinist Inside Caliper Tool 1905-1930. The tool belonged to my my dad who worked for the Great Northern Railroad at the Hill Yard site in Spokane WA between 1930 and 1955 when we moved to Fargo ND where he was a roundhouse foreman until he retired in 1979. He was a journeyman machinist and journeyman electrician. This machinist tool was made by The Lufkin Rule Company in Saginaw, MI, sometime after 1905 and when my grandfather bought it when he worked at the Great Northern Railroad.  It has to be close to 100 years old.
