It hangs on a clear monofilament thread. TWO THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE YOU BUY. First, there is no maker's mark, sticker, foil label or signature anywhere on this ornament, and it does not come with a box. I cannot tell you the maker, the country or the year, so please do not buy it expecting a particular brand. Second, the black wrought iron display stand in the photographs is mine and is NOT included - it is only there to hold the ornament up for photographing. You are buying the angel alone. SIZE: approximately 4 inches from the top of the wings to the hem of the gown. That figure is judged against the stand rather than taken with a rule, so treat it as close but not exact. CONDITION: excellent. I went over the wing tips, the trumpet, the hands and the hem of the gown - the places that chip first - and found no chips, cracks, flea bites or repairs. The gold trim is unbroken with only very light thinning where a thumb would naturally rest. The frosted surface is clean and even with no cloudiness or water spotting. The hanging thread is sound. Photographs three and four show the front and back straight on so you can check it yourself. Wrapped in tissue and bubble, boxed in a rigid carton with fill, and posted with tracking.
