This is an antique cameo, possibly made in Italy, finest hand carved cameo on shell and mounted in fine sterling silver 925 frame, filigree. This petite cameo is beautifully done with an elegant lady, very pretty which is a desirable quality in a cameo.  This is a gorgeous brooch, frame is sterling silver 925 (" Unmarked") no hallmark, but tests positive for sterling silver 925 with jewelry acid shell is signed by the artist on back side (visible in pictures).  Dimensions are approx.  1.1 inch x 1.0 inch x 0.3 inch   and weighs about 4.7 grams   in the store's scale. It is in great vintage condition, looks free of damage   with no repairs .   The safety closure works.
