View Unique Mother-of-Pearl Mexico Brooch/pendant. Silver inlaid, hand-created. with current marketplace pricing, condition, product images and item details. It is inlaid with mother-of-pearl to create a unique piece, since each one created has a different design and pattern as a result of the shaped pieces of the inside surface of the abalone shell that are used. The Unique Beauty of Mexico!   Offered is a very attractive brooch/pendant, hand-made in Mexico of alpaca silver, which is actually a nickel alloy, common in Mexican jewelry.  It is inlaid with mother-of-pearl to create a unique piece, since each one created has a different design and pattern as a result of the shaped pieces of the inside surface of the abalone shell that are used.  The background is turquois blue color which enhances the colors of the mother-of-pearl.  It measures 1 1/2" across and is designed to be pinned as a brooch or hung on a chain as a pendant.  It's in very good, aged condition with no chips or scratches and on very close inspection there is slight pitting in the metal surface, but not readily apparent.  Marked on the back, "Heco en Mexico" (made in Mexico) and "Alpaca" which identifies it as the nickel-zinc-copper alloy -- the "silver" of Mexico and South America.  This makes a very nice, unique piece that enhance any outfit.  Well cared for from a smoke free, pet free, climate-controlled home.        48 Condition: Pre-owned.
