What You Are Getting A finished cross-stitch WELCOME sampler , the word worked in soft blue lettering inside a border of stitched flowers — roses, tulips, bluebells and leaves in pinks, reds, purples, blues and greens. It is set in a deep, ornate frame with a raised carved pattern and a distressed gilt finish that shades from gold to verdigris green — a far more decorative frame than these samplers usually get. About 12.5 x 7 in overall. It is exactly the right shape for over a front door, in a hallway or above a guest-room bed. Condition & Details Handmade and complete. The stitching is even and intact throughout, with no missing or pulled stitches. Measurements: the frame is about 12.5 in wide x 7 in tall . The stitched design panel is about 6 x 2.5 in within an open aida field. A tape is laid along the frame in the photographs. The flaws, all of them: Light age toning and a few small spots on the pale aida fabric, mostly toward the upper left. Photographed. The frame finish is worn at the edges and corners. It is a distressed style to begin with, but some of the wear is genuine use. The back is closed with old masking tape , photographed Unsigned and undated — there are no stitched initials or date.
