People often mistake the pink queen conch shell for Angel Skin coral, as they look so similar. This cameo is beautiful, done in high relief, signed by the artist, and framed in a solid 14k gold mounting. She's a lovely young lady with flowing hair, carved into the thick conch shell, with subtle pink mixed in with the creamy white. The cameo is both a brooch and pendant, with a hidden bail. I've shown it on a chain (not included) for size reference in the photos. The cameo measures 1.5" by 1". It closes with an early locking pin closure. The frame is marked APA with Italian hallmarks for Napoli, and 585 for 14k. It weighs 8.3 grams and is in very fine vintage condition.
