Glazed ceramic vintage 1986 Precious Moments coffee/cocoa mug/cup, travel-style mug with flared rim and wide bottom. Style # PM-863, 1986 Members Only Collectors Club mug. Charming pastel graphics on both sides of mug of a young boy driving a small car, text in black just below rim on both sides of mug reads: "I'm Following Jesus." Solid glossy white uniquely shaped handle, glossy white interior (   Mug measures approx. 3.25 inches wide across mouth, 4.5 wide across bottom, approx. 3.375 inches in height. Approx. capacity is 15 ounces. A bit of history about the American company Precious Moments, via Wikipedia and the Precious Moments' website: Precious Moments Company, Inc. (PMI) is an American catalog order company that sells giftware. The company was initially formed in 1978 by illustrator Samuel J. Butcher, as a licensing company. Butcher, together with his partner Bill Biel, sold greeting cards at Christian book fairs under the company name of Jonathan & David. They partnered with Enesco Corp. to sell giftware. In the fall of 1978, Sam Butcher, Bill Biel and Gene Freedman introduced the first 21 Figurines to giftware retailers under the company name, Jonathan & David. Although the retailers did not have high hopes for product sales, they took a chance because of the excellent quality and stellar reputations of everyone involved.
