Set Of 6 Vintage Noritake Chikaramachi Midcentury Japan Lusterware Tea Cups And Saucers 8 fl oz Early to Mid 20th Century Delicate porcelain, very thin. All blue except for one that is orange. These are in good vintage condition with some minor wear. One cup has a tiny flea bite in the inside rim, as shown in a photo. Chikaramachi Japanese "Lustreware" porcelain teacups, with matching saucers in the country cottages style. Gorgeous sunset colors, deep umber, kelly-green, and nutmeg, with blue and black accents.Featuring the trade-mark, opalescent glaze of porcelain manufactured at the Noritake factory in the early to mid twentieth century. Each piece is a beautiful work of art, with unique renderings, handpainted in a water/landcape scene, with a cozy home nestled among the trees, and a background sky in sunset colors, all on fine, delicate porcelain. All pieces stamped on bottom in green with heraldic crown and "Chikaramachi" "Made in Japan" This set makes a wonderful gift for the collector of Art Nouveau, and/or early to mid-twentieth century ceramics and pottery.The cups measures 2.5" high and 3.25" wide.
