Ahrenfeldt Limoges porcelain company and imported to the United States for McEntee & Layng, a prestigious retailer based in Newark, New Jersey.   Based on the style and backstamp, these were likely produced around 1900–1910, during the Belle Époque era of refined European craftsmanship.   Limoges porcelain was prized among American households in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, and pieces like these — especially those commissioned by upscale U.S. retailers — are now highly collectible.   They reflect the elegance and attention to detail typical of turn-of-the-century European craftsmanship.   ITEM FEATURES: Maker/Country of Manufacture: C. Ahrenfeldt Limoges for McEntee & Layng, Newark, NJ, as per the maker’s marks, which dates the pieces between 1895-1915 (specifically 1900-1910, according to our research).   Each bowl bears the following maker’s marks on the bottom:    - “France Depose” with a stylized “C and A” logo for “C. Ahrenfeldt” (in green lettering)    - “C. Ahrenfeldt Limoges” (in green lettering)    - “Made expressly for McEntee & Layng, Newark, NJ,” and “Patented” (all in green lettering) CONDITION: These items are USED/PRE-OWNED and in VERY GOOD antique condition.   There are a few very minor signs of wear here and there — a few small spots (mainly on the bottoms of each piece), and some very slight wear to the gold trim.   Otherwise, these items are clean and intact with no signs of cracks, chips, repairs, etc., and for their age (approximately 100+ years), are in FINE condition.   They have been stored in a CLEAN, SMOKE-FREE, PET-FREE environment.
