Length approximately 1 3/4 inches (4.5cm).   Description : Bird, wings stretched out behind him; long forked tail.  Beautifully set diamonds, each in its own silver cell. At the time, diamonds were invariably set in silver to show them off to best advantage in candle or gas light.  Silver backed in gold. Pin is a common metal replacement, possibly from early 1900's.  Perfect wedding jewelry for a man or a woman.
