View 1900s Antique Wood Metal 10” Child's Doll Trunk With Insert Full of Sentimentals with current marketplace pricing, condition, product images and item details. The original paper covering has wear inside and outside. Open the box to find the removable tray. A handmade quilt piece is placed in the tray. When you remove the tray, you see all types of favorites. My grandmother owned a similar doll trunk and filled it with special doll clothes, toys and sentimental favorites. Perhaps the previous owner did that same thing with this trunk. Made of wood and metal, the side leather handles are still attached. The original paper covering has wear inside and outside. Open the box to find the removable tray. Inside the lid you’ll find the proud owner’s name and additional blue markings including “Xmas 1910”. The box is hinged (One side is without the pin to keep hinge in place) and also closes by way of a blue/white stripe cloth piece right side of chest. A handmade quilt piece is placed in the tray. When you remove the tray, you see all types of favorites. A pink doll dress (homemade, stains, lace is loose around neck), blue/black/white skirt (homemade), two pin cushions (I believe are home made), an apron (nice red ribbon and lace trim), plain white hankies, hankie with an H, and another quilt piece (homemade).
