Up for sale is an antique 1795-1845 Norfolk thumb latch door handle with latch bar and 2 1/2" rim lock. Painted it with gloss black rust inhibiting spray paint. Up for sale is an antique 1795-1845 Norfolk thumb latch door handle with latch bar and 2 1/2" rim lock. It was rusty and paint was peeling when found, so I soaked it in naval jelly to remove the paint and most of the rust. Painted it with gloss black rust inhibiting spray paint.  Door latch is in excellent working condition. Rim lock is missing the key and keeper, but should work if correct key is located. Some of the original wood screws were damaged, so replaced them with similar screws. Please check out the photos for the exact style and condition of these items.  Condition: Cleaned and repainted.
