IMPORTANT For COLLECTORS TO KNOW : Some of the early Hallmark pins were copied and made in a cheaper version. Although the fake looks almost the same to the untrained eye, the plastic is lesser quality and thinner, usually by 1/16" thick. In this case, the early pin has a very different backing with a silver pin assembly (the Hallmark pins have a gold tone assembly).
