A wide backer piece of leather is present with a narrow strip threading through the silverwork in the standard manner done by Navajo smiths. There is space to add more holes in the greater direction if needed. Vintage sterling silver concho belt, Sand Cast (or Tufa Cast) style, with nice turquoise stones mounted on each piece. It appears to be a typical belt that is Navajo in general overall appearance and workmanship. The Buckle is sand cast in style and circular in shape, with three turquoise stones in smooth edge bezels surrounded by twisted wire. It measures 2 1/2 inches in diameter. All stones are intact and no adverse issues of condition. The five Conchos are also sand cast style and circular in shape. A copper loop soldered on the back of each secures them to the leather strip that threads through the wide backer leather. Each has a single turquoise stone mounted as described above, and in good condition. The conchos each measure about 2 1/2 inches in diameter. The six Butterflies are also sand cast and have one copper loop on the reverse. A single nice turquoise stone is mounted on each as above. Each measures about 2 1/2 by 1 1/2 inches. All stones are intact and secure, no issues. The dark brown leather is in good used vintage condition. It has seen years of use and is very soft and pliable. It feels good in hand. A wide backer piece of leather is present with a narrow strip threading through the silverwork in the standard manner done by Navajo smiths. The total length from the buckle to the leather tip is about 55 inches, with holes currently punched at about 38 and 40 inches. There is space to add more holes in the greater direction if needed. This is a very heavy belt with lots of silver content. The total weight of the entire belt is about 665 grams or about 21.4 troy ounces. I love the open sand cast look and the stones are really nice.
