As the economy was vastly improving, airline travel for business and pleasure was on the upswing and posters such as this were instrumental in promoting this form of travel. This San Francisco poster was created by the gifted American artist David Klein (1918 -2005), and depicts the Golden Gate Bridge as the main protagonist. The crisp graphic style used in this poster is a clear example of Klein's style and clearly demonstrates why he was, and still is, a popular figure in the poster world. Klein was best known for his influential work in advertising.
