Beautiful antique Chinese export Rose Medallion / Famille Rose porcelain 3-piece tea setting, featuring a teacup, saucer and matching plate. Decorated in the traditional Rose Medallion style with colorful hand-applied overglaze enamel decoration depicting Chinese court figures, birds, flowers and butterflies surrounded by intricate green, pink, orange and gilt detailing. The teacup is marked CHINA in red/orange on the underside. Based on the decoration, construction and country-of-origin marking, this set appears to date to the late 19th / early 20th century Chinese export period, approximately 1890s–1920s. Includes: • 1 teacup • 1 saucer • 1 plate Beautiful original antique character with visible age-related wear, including wear to the gilt decoration, minor surface wear and manufacturing/firing imperfections consistent with age.
