This Absolutely Elegant TRIFARI “Place Vendome” Set (featuring: Ruby-Red Baguette Rhinestones on Gold-Trifanium) was designed by Alfred Philippe in 1952. These Pieces were featured in an Advertisement, “The Most Enchanted Gift of All - Jewels by Trifari.” They were also featured in Julia C. Carroll’s Book “Collecting Costume Jewelry 202 - Second Edition,” on page #249……. NOTE………… This Glamorous Set (except the Brooch) belonged to my Grandmother and has been in family storage for decades.******The Necklace has one of the most ornate designs that the “Place Vendome” series offers*******I believe this Set is in overall GOOD-Excellent Vintage condition, consistent with age and wear. I see no major or obvious flaws, the metals are shiny and the Rhinestones appear vibrant. NOTE……..These pieces are Costume Jewelry. “Costume Jewelry,” is also known as inexpensive (or Fashion) jewelry that imitates the look of fine jewelry. All rhinestones and metals are FAUX. NOTE……….
