Charming vintage Made in Japan ceramic turkey salt and pepper shaker set featuring a Tom and hen in wonderfully classic mid-century Thanksgiving colors. The larger Tom features a bright red head and wattle with green, cream and black feather detailing and a dramatic fanned tail. His smaller companion has a deep green head with red accents and multicolor feather details. Hand-marked JAPAN on the underside. Both retain bottom plugs. Approximately 3–3½" tall and roughly 3–4" long, depending on the turkey. These are genuine vintage pieces with plenty of age-earned character. There is noticeable paint/glaze loss, particularly around the green turkey's neck and head, along with surface wear, discoloration, glaze imperfections and additional finish loss throughout, looks like it may have been repaired.
