I try to note and photograph any flaws. Set of three coordinating vintage brass decorative boxes, likely made in India. Each has a hinged lid, front latch closure, and small top carry handle, with three distinct forms: a large pierced octagonal box, a solid medium octagonal box, and a pierced oval box. The large box is especially detailed, with embossed foliate decoration around the sides and pierced geometric openwork across the lid and lower body. The pierced large and small boxes are wonderful for decorative storage and could be used for incense, potpourri, sachets, jewelry, or small keepsakes. The medium box has a solid lid and body, making it especially well suited for jewelry, trinkets, desk storage, or display. Two boxes retain “MADE IN INDIA” stickers on the underside; the matching third box is unmarked. All three show naturally aged brass patina, including darkening, spotting, oxidation, scratches, and surface wear consistent with age and use. The different tones give the set a warm collected-over-time look. Latches and handles are present as shown. Sold together as a decorative set of three.
