A wonderful mix of mid-century utility cottons, including miniature calicos, ginghams, small florals, solids, and novelty prints from the feed-sack era. V intage scrappy patchwork quilt top.  This beautiful piece features vibrant, high-contrast geometry often called a "Snowball" or "Crazy Baseball" design. The colorful arcs are meticulously constructed using the string-piecing/foundation method, creating a spectacular kaleidoscope effect against solid white circular blocks. This piece is an un-quilted topper, making it an incredible project for a modern quilter to finish, a longarm collector's piece, or a candidate for framing as striking textile folk art. Date of fabrics unknown Condition Report (Please Read) Overall State: This is an unfinished, vintage quilt top in structurally sound condition with strong seams overall. It has not been backed, batted, or quilted. Important Note on Pictures: You will notice pieces of blue painter’s tape placed throughout the white sections of the quilt top in the listing photos. These tape markers have been intentionally placed to point out localized age stains, spots, or storage discoloration. Condition Notes: There is minor, expected storage yellowing and localized brown spots on some of the white fabric circles (as indicated by the tape). We have opted not to launder or chemically treat this textile to preserve its raw, historic integrity for the buyer. The blue tape removes easily and cleanly without leaving a residue.
