View Vintage Antique French Floral Botanical Litho Prints Framed Camille Chantereine with current marketplace pricing, condition, product images and item details. Both pieces of art are from students who studied under the famous Pierre Joseph Redoute, painter of botany. Camille de Chantereine created the botanical on the left, a black and white with one big red flower and bits of pale yellow. Outstanding pair of two lithograph prints published in the 1930's, of French botanicals created in Paris France around the 1830's. These are both from the same home and were framed, double matted with French pink (mauve) and gold matting, and put under glass, with gold beveled frames. These were custom framed by the same owner.  Both pieces of art are from students who studied under the famous Pierre Joseph Redoute, painter of botany. Camille de Chantereine created the botanical on the left, a black and white with one big red flower and bits of pale yellow. She was born in Paris, studied under Redoute, and made her salon debut in 1827. She won jury medals, two being gold in 1835 and 1840. She began her own teaching course in 1836. One of her patrons was the former empress of Brazil, Amelie of Leuchtenberg. She died in Paris on March 10, 1847. The second piece is from A. Janet, whom I discovered nothing about after much research. It is a black and white, with bits of pale yellow. These are both published by the A.P.P. Co., Inc., N.Y. and are No. 43 and 46 in the series.  I ship same or next day after careful packaging.   Condition: Used. Category: Art › Art Prints.
