It is made of a glazed stoneware with pictures of homes, the forest and hills, and a hunter who is carrying his buck with his dogs. The beautiful interior is a cobalt blue as well as around the bottom and top of the stein. The lid is pewter and has some small pitting from age. The piece is numbered as well. The translation around the stein is "Long live what on earth struts in green splendor". The stein is 11" tall and 4 1/4" wide at the bottom. Quite weighty at 2lbs. 12oz.
