From what I've found, Napoleon the II was born 1811the son of Emperor Napoleon I and Empress Marie Louise, daughter of Emperor Francis I of Austria. Although Napoleon II never actually ruled France, he was briefly the titular Emperor of the French after the second fall of his father. A rare find of Napoleon I (the Emperor)  and his son, Napoleon II on floral gold rimmed  gout de ville limoge, France, miniature plates, trinket dishes.   The plates are 4" across. No chips or damage, normal wear due to age. The gold trim with delicate leaves and flowers is gorgeous. From what I've found, Napoleon the II  was born 1811   the son of Emperor Napoleon I and Empress Marie Louise, daughter of Emperor Francis I of Austria.  Napoleon II,  King of Rome and Duke of Reichstadt, a handsome man. Although Napoleon II never actually ruled France, he was briefly the titular Emperor of the French after the second fall of his father. He lived most of his life in Vienna and died of tuberculosis at the age of 21. As to the age of the plates, it was suggested they are in the range of 200 years.
