The centers of the necklace, bracelet and pin have a large multi-faceted blue/purple aurora borealis rhinestone with a circle of tiny aurora borealis stones surrounding it. AURORA AURA!... The necklace, pin and clamper bracelet feature large purple/blue aurora borealis, molded glass, and medium-sized purple/blue faceted chatons aurora borealis stones. Smaller, various-sized light (citrine/pink hues) and purple/blue aurora borealis chatons are interspersed throughout the design. The centers of the necklace, bracelet and pin have a large multi-faceted blue/purple aurora borealis rhinestone with a circle of tiny aurora borealis stones surrounding it. The clip earrings have a smaller aurora borealis center surrounded by tiny aurora borealis stones. Gold-plated base metal in an open work design. The necklace fastens via a fishhook style clasp and measures an adjustable 16"L by 1 3/8" at widest. The clamper-style hinged opening will accommodate most wrists. 3"W across from outside to outside; 2 1/2"W across inside to inside - closed position. Opens to 4" spread. 1 3/16"H (front), tapering to 7/16"H in the back. The pin measures 2 1/2" by 2 1/2" and the earrings measure 1 1/8" in diameter. All pieces, except one earring (always the case) are signed HAR. Excellent vintage condition. HAR was started by Joseph Heibronner and Edith Levitt in 1955 in New York as Hargo. Named for Joe's children from his first marriage, Hans and Margo. Joseph was considerably older than she was. He was a lovely, elegant man. Edith was a real head turner. She always looked fabulous and when she wore her own jewelry people assumed it was the real deal. The business was situated in Chelsea and they lived in Greenwich Village. They manufactured jewelry until the late 1960's when Edith convinced Joseph to retire. HAR produced high quality. The most sought-after designs include their dragon, cobra, and genie collections.
