The gourd has a rough spot and one of its green edges. However, since it has been filled in with gold, it may be original to the production. The last three photos will show these minor imperfections. This listing is for a rare pair of Murano glass paperweights sculptures of a mini pumpkin and a gourd. Perfect for autumn decorating! These items were hand made by the famous Barovier & Toso glass blowers on the island of Murano outside of Venice, Italy. Circa 1950's. Decorated with layers of pure metallic gold dust between two layers of clear cristalo / crystal glass using their exclusive Cordonato d'Oro proprietary technique. The green stems of each are also applied with real gold dust. The tall gourd measures approximately 4.5" tall x 3.5" diameter at widest part. The round pumpkin measures approximately 4" diameter at its widest part x 3.5" tall. Both are an overall excellent preowned condition. The pumpkin has two small chips near the tip of its leaf - one on either side. The gourd has a rough spot and one of its green edges. However, since it has been filled in with gold, it may be original to the production. The last three photos will show these minor imperfections.
