There is one tiny chip on the brim of the hat. Vintage ceramic scarecrow head with a bat, made by a hobbyist sometime in the 1980s, although it's not signed or dated.  Very nicely painted with loads of detail--look at the tiny polka dots on the hat!  The eyes are well done, which is often a problem with these types of pieces.  Cute pom pon for the bat's body and twine string for a collar bow, adds texture and interest.  There is one tiny chip on the brim of the hat.  I was tempted to fill it in with a sharpie, but i will let the new owner decide what to do with it.  Measures approx. 10" x 10".
