The case is 4” deep. This is a great child’s tea set, safe in its own little blue suitcase, ready to tote to a tea party or picnic at a moment’s notice. It was produced by the well-known company of Reutter Porzellan in Germany in 2003 to commemorate the 100th birthday of Peter Rabbit. There are 17 pieces plus one extra platter (for miniature cookies?) in the suitcase, including a lace edged tablecloth, flatware and two matching napkins. Sadly, one cup is damaged and a knife is missing, as well as the sugar and creamer. A nice replacement cup by Wedgewood is included. The style is a little different, but a good replacement just the same. The lid to the sugar is present. The diameter of the suitcase is 9” and the height of the case is 8.5”. The case is 4” deep. I lent a good friend this set for a visiting grandchild. It was complete when I lent it; it came back like this. No longer my good friend.
