FLOWER POWER!... Stunning 1957 BOUCHER turquoise and pearl cabochon glass flower pin and clip earrings set. Rhodium-plated base metal. The flower pin is anything but 'garden variety' featuring luscious turquoise blue cabochon petals, a domed pearl glass cabochon center flanked by clear pave rhinestones and a clear chaton accented stem. The clip earrings emulate the theme. The pin measures 2 1/4" by 2". The earrings measure 1 1/8"L by 1"W. The pin is signed BOUCHER and numbered '6879'; the earrings are signed BOUCHER, 6937. Dates to 1957. Very good vintage condition with some yellowing pave stones and wear to the reverse.. In the early 1920's, he moved to New York City where he developed a passion for jewelry design, studying under Pierre Cartier as an apprentice. By the 1930's, he was working for Mazer Brothers. However, in 1937 he decided to establish his own company, which he called Marcel Boucher and Cie.
