The handle is a bit loose and jiggles because the small primitive copper nails fastening it in place have also loosened. It is not water-tight and small leaks will form when it is filled. There was no identifying maker’s mark on it and it appears to be hand made with soldering and hammering. I also do not know the age of it or specific provenance. Item measures roughly around 11 inches at widest point from edge of handle to the outer rim of the copper pot. The approximate maximum height is 5 inches from the base to the tip of the handle. The copper base has a rough diameter of about 6.25 inches. The handle is a bit loose and jiggles because the small primitive copper nails fastening it in place have also loosened. There is also long crack in the copper spanning the length of the section lining and connecting the wood handle to the pot. The stylized heart shape copper section connecting these two parts against the pot is also a bit loose on one side. Because this item was hand hammered, it is not perfectly symmetrically rounded off, which is particularly noticeable on the bottom edge and rim of the base. There is also consistent patina on the surface of the pot as well as a noticeable amount of greenish oxidation around the upper rim near the lid. Condition: Used.
