I was skeptical as to the marks on the back, because as you can see, it says that it is from the Château de Versailles…. This plate was not at the Château de Versailles, however…. This is an amazing plate, regardless of who tried to fake it. This amazingly gorgeous plate was bought by me personally. I was skeptical as to the marks on the back, because as you can see, it says that it is from the Château de Versailles…. However, I could not find a matching stamp-so I went to an expert who confirmed to me that my suspicions were correct and that this was actually an antique forgery. This plate was not at the Château de Versailles, however…. This is an amazing plate, regardless of who tried to fake it. The embossing on this is absolutely impeccable and the painting and line work is the finest I’ve ever seen up close. I was told they would put a $400 reserve on this piece if I wanted to auction it there. The exact origins of this plate I do not know. I just know that it is not from the Château de Versailles…. That it is an antique and that the craftsmanship is absolutely amazing on this piece and I know its underlying value. Please note the plate holder is not included. I have this at the low end of its value range. This is approximately 13.5 inches long and approximately 9.5 inches across. This will be well wrapped and double boxed and come via UPS or FedEx with full insurance and signature on delivery.
