There is no slack to clearly see what material the beads are strung on, but looks like heavy substantial cord. This is an impressive chunky vintage beaded 23 inches long necklace made with faceted jasper gemstone beads 20 mm long by 15 mm wide.  The lobster claw clasp is marked 925 so I am assuming that the spacer beads (some  6mm embossed, others 2mm)  are also sterling.  There is no slack to clearly see what material the beads are strung on, but looks like heavy substantial cord.    Handsome necklace and heavy at 198 grams  in excellent vintage condition.   Condition: Pre-owned - Excellent.
