The Artwork (Shellwork) ​Design: A symmetrical, tiered floral arrangement or "bouquet" rising from a large central bivalve shell (acting as a vase or basket base). ​Materials: Dozens of tiny, natural marine shells. The composition utilizes: ​White/Cream Shells: Carefully layered to mimic flower petals, roses, and blossoms. ​Purple/Lavender Rice or Coquina Shells: Artfully arranged in radiating, curved lines to resemble fronds, leaves, or wheat stalks. ​Accent Shells: Small yellow/tan land snail or operculum shells placed strategically as floral centers or decorative "buds." ​Background: The arrangement is mounted on a deep,  hunter green velvet (or velour) fabric backing, which provides a high-contrast showcase for the natural white and purple of the shells. ​2.
