Black Up for sale is a stunning, cohesive trio of antique 6-inch porcelain dessert/cabinet plates manufactured by Hutschenreuther in Bavaria, Germany, dating between 1904 and 1914. These plates represent the height of the early 20th-century porcelain painting movement. Each 6" plate features a unique, masterfully executed botanical study of summer fruits set against soft, watercolor-gradient backgrounds. The details include a bunch of purple grapes on winding vines, fresh peaches with pink blossoms, and wild strawberries with delicate white flowers. All three plates are individually signed on the reverse in hand-painted blue script by the artist, F.W. Black, and bear the green stamped "Favorite" Bavaria hallmark. Condition: Beautiful antique condition. Porcelain is bright with no chips, cracks, or repairs. The hand-painted decorations are remarkably well-preserved with only negligible surface wear from age.
